or: How there are multiple truths

We (Anne Bothmer and I) used the philosophical theory of Derrida stating 'there is no truth' as a starting point for this project.

We created Dutch political campaigns to show there are multiple truths and to underline that nowadays anybody can be a truth claimer.

A fun and interesting part was that our campaigns actually got removed by our own artschool (Hogeschool van Rotterdam) because according to their house rules there can't be any political statings in the building. They seem to forget our campaign was fake. Now that's what I call a successful project.

Our inspiration: truth claimers in action. We took special notice in the way each speaker is framed. The visuals that are being used become their own language.

De freebies die we uitdeelden tijdens onze interventie.

Natuurlijk ging onze campagne gepaard met een publieke interventie waarbij Anne en ik tijdens onze speech werden onderbroken door een telefoontje van Mark Rutte himself.

Een ander visueel experiment: we vervingen de voorkant van de Metro met onze zelfgemaakte cover.

Vervolgens hebben we ons onderzoek (compleet met kritische discourse analysis) en proces ook gebundeld in een zelfgemaakte krant.
